The Ministry of Transmigration's "Trans Patriot" concept is no longer about simply moving citizens from one region to another. The new focus is on creating integrated economic zones capable of independent growth, thanks to the technological and educational input from ITB. Minister Iftitah emphasized, "Smart people are those who can solve problems. That's why we're involving ITB, so the Trans Patriot concept truly addresses the on-the-ground needs for a new transmigration model."
This partnership is expected to not only empower transmigrants to collectively develop businesses through community corporations but also to unlock new investment opportunities. The government plans to dispatch 2,000 Patriot Expedition Teams this year, a preparatory step before the Transmigrant Patriot program officially begins next year. The Minister of Transmigration explicitly requested full support from his ranks for the procurement of research tools, ensuring that research efforts remain unhindered.
