REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Deputy Minister of Culture of Indonesia, Giring Ganesha, became the narrator of puppet show or puppet show at Jakarta Mother's Day (JMD) 2025. In front of dozens of children, Giring performed a fairy tale entitled “Bakti Raja Gajah pada Bunda in Mother's Day” with storyteller Rian Hamzah.
Through stories about the King of Elephants and Mother of Elephants, Giring conveys the importance of filial and loving mothers. “Children should be like the King of Elephants yes, who is affectionate and devoted to the mother of the Elephant,” Giring said on Sunday (21/12/2025).
This story tells the story of the Elephant King who must fight to save his mother who falls ill on the eve of Mother's Day. For the sake of his mother's recovery, the Elephant King made a challenging journey through the storms and floods that engulfed the forest.
On his journey, the Elephant King was not alone. he was aided by the Elephant Warden, Monkey Head, and Dwarf Chief. Together, they work together to overcome storms and glorify damaged forests. Thanks to hard work and togetherness, the storm was overcome, the forest recovered, and Mother Elephant finally recovered so that she could celebrate Mother's Day with happiness.
On Jakarta Mother's Day 2025, Giring attended with his wife Cinthya Riza. Also present were Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) RI Erick Thohir, and Deputy Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (Wamen PPPA) Veronica Tan.
Republika through Ameera Network again presents Jakarta Mother's Day 2025, a special event to celebrate the role and services of mothers. The event will be held on Sunday (21/12/2025), held at SCBD Weekland, Jakarta.
Jakarta Mother's Day 2025 will be the second year of organizing after successfully held in 2024. This year, the event is packed more festive with a variety of entertainment, educational activities, as well as exciting gifts that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Director of Republika, Rangga Danu Prasetyo, said the event was presented as a form of tribute to mothers. “This event is themed on Mother's Day, which is celebrated every December 22nd. At this event we provide an entertainment space for mothers which is very meritorious for all of us,” Rangga said.
Through Jakarta Mother's Day 2025, Ameera Network and Republika hope to bring a warm, joyful and meaningful moment of togetherness for mothers and families in Jakarta.
